The whole car shipping process is quite a confusing and bizarre world. Every company, it seems, serves as a sort of broker to connect consumers with truckers. However, truck drivers are the ones ultimately selecting loads and setting their own schedules, so the field of car shipping is dreadfully uncertain as to times. I set my earliest pick up date on the Monday after we left town. The car was not actually picked up until a Sunday 13 days later. Almost 2 full weeks of waiting with no pick up. I will say, however, once the car got picked up everything went smoothly, and it arrived very quickly on the truck. Ship a Car direct was, for the most part, honest and up front about the process, but everyone likes to give you a little more optimistic expectations on the front end to get your business, and then once you're locked in, it's kind of too late to change. Just expect to have to wait a while for a contract to come through, and you'll be okay. Ship a Car direct communicated well throughout the process, which at least is helpful when everything is so stressful and uncertain.
