It was my first time having a car shipped so did a ton of research. I’m not sure how I found Ship A Car Direct but once I understood that they pre-screen shippers it was just what I needed as it meant I wouldn’t be subject to bait and switch tactics that I read were so problematic with many shippers. I’d use them again and recommend others do but I want to explain why I took a star off. 1. While I know the nature of shipping multiple household’s goods can mean that schedules slip, when Scott gave his # and said to call at any time I had the impression that he would call back…which he never did. I did use the 1-800 number provided and spoke to an overseas phone center who were able to give me a little more info but not much. 2. While there is a lot of standard communication that comes from emails that are sent once you book with them it isn’t clear who you contact once there seems to be a delay on pickup or delivery. The actual transporter gave the person shipping the car their contact info but I was under the impression contact with Scott was the preferred method. There also was not even 24 hr heads up that a pickup day had been chosen so there was a scramble when we found out they were coming that day. So I was disappointed with communication once the initial booking had been made but considering the car was delivered for the price quoted I would still use them again.
