Ship a Car Direct was helpful both times we used them and everything went great with the assigned carrier the first time, but this time was a totally different story. We had nothing but problems with the carrier assigned this time. No communication. I had to call them every time. The driver never showed the first day. He was then supposed to pick up at 2 PM, but did not arrive until 10 PM in the rain. Driver did not speak a word of English. They never gave his phone number, which wouldn't have helped since he "no el speako". I had to call the dispatcher to interpret between me and him with him standing next to me. Had to call the dispatcher every time for any updates, which were always wrong. Delivery was not made on the scheduled day. The next day I had my son waiting at the given delivery time, but they never showed. Called the carrier's dispatcher again and she gave a new time several hours later, I then had an employee waiting, who was on the clock, but delivery was 2 hours later than the new delivery time given. When the driver unloaded the vehicle there were scratches in the driver side door. Great communication and no problems the first time shipping a car. Terrible communication and terrible experience this time. Now have to get the car to a repair shop for an estimate to then file a claim, which I don't have time for. Not sure I will ever ship a car again without some kind of guaranteed service. Total PIA.
