Unfortunately the pickup location in West Seneca, NY was very difficult for carrier companies to build a trip around. The main reasons were lack of other shipments in that area coming from that location to the same destination area in Texas (other than the customers shipment) and lack of shipments going to that area from any major city nearby. This meant that carriers had to drive empty to the pickup location and not have enough cars on the way back to make that trip work logistically. The customer was also working with multiple other brokers and neither were able to secure a carrier for them for the same exact reasons. We did extensive work on this order. The reasons mentioned above was why the carrier company we were able to secure for Gloria asked for more than the listed price. Its not very fair or honest to call that process or our company a scam when in reality we did a ton of work on getting a carrier for Gloria and when she cancelled her order, we issued her a full refund. We were never paid for the work we did and we actually lost money on the move due to labor and processing fees. Where is the scam? There is also never any obligation to use a carrier we share with customers and shippers can cancel their order at any time and get a full refund of their booking fee. We did everything in our power to help Gloria get a carrier ASAP but due to circumstances out of our control there were no carrier companies willing to go there for less. We sent her a refund confirmation once she cancelled the shipment with us explaining that refunds can take 5-7 business days to reflect. We reached out to Gloria yesterday to confirm if she received the refund but she has not responded to us. Thank you.
