Transport custom bike LIP SERVICE

I am not pleased with this broker house with the service, Their agents seem to be more interested in giving you what you want to hear and grabbing the money.

I contacted a Ty Leckner on a Sunday 5-Dec to have a custom bike picked up in upstate New York. The agent was quick to give a quote, it was more than the others I had received by a good amount. Ty instructed verbal on the phone that they would have the bike picked up inside of 7 and normally have a driver lined up within 2-3 days and delivery of 2-3 days after with maybe a day or two for unforseen things. I had a fourteen day window and this fit......I had contacted several other shippers and was told up front they could not provide within the timeframe needed....... I was told this was possible because they not only broker items but also had their own trucks and drivers. Ty instructed that they should have something lined up by Wed and if did not have any word to give him a cal he was available everyday to answer any questionsl......... I did not mind the added cost as this is to be expected when trying to get something expedited on shipping in a short turn around......BUT the promise of having the bike picked up and deliveried within my timeframe needed due to leaving the country for 6 weeks and not being able to be around for delivery.

We completed the transaction, normally most shipers do not take the full amount of contract until something is schedule and ready to go, on Monday the company took full payment for contract. I thought everything was in order and something was lined up. On Wed I had not received any news on the driver and pickup time, so as was told on the intial phone call I attempted to contact Ty on the phone as he had instructed. I got another agent was told he was busy and left a message for him to call back when he could on the shipping. I still had not received a call back 6 hours later, so I sent an email to see if any info, as sometimes this is easier............. Thurs afternoon, still no response to email or prevous phone call message of Wed. I called and left a second message for a call back as was told TY was on the phone and busy, after a few hours of not receiving a call back, I sent a second email to both TY and CC'ed the sales / info bit on the Showroom website.......... Friday still no word on anything by mid morning, I then called again and ask to speak to TY and was told he was busy on the phone as before by yet another agent and that nothing was sheduled as of yet. I told this second agent what the problem was and all I could do was leave another message. After three phone calls in a 8 hour window and a couple of agents trying to get info on this and each time being told that TY was on the phone and busy; NEVER ONCE did TY return a phone call or email. Finally another lady there told me on Friday evening that thought they had a driver in line to go do the pickup and the driver should call if was scheduled.

It is now 6 days since contract, so much for the 7 day pick up. The bike was finally picked up on day 10 and delivery on 16.

NOW, I know that given the time table everyone will say how can I complain, I am sure there will be rebuttals from the company about weather or what have you on delaying the pickup or getting something scheduled, yes there was winter weather involved

The complaint is about the LIP Service that I was given and the fact that the contact person TY refused to answer or return any type of calls or update on any activity, especially after he ask me to call him in the event I had not heard anything. It was the same run around every time TY was on the phone and busy. Now with in the span of three days I would think this person could at least return a phone call or email to say they had a snag in something. Since he himself told me to call him IF I had not heard anything.

The actually transport company that the shipment was brokered too was great, and have no complaints with the actual shipping and thought they were OUTSTANDING and the enclosed truck was EXCELLENT......there was issue with weather and that was taken into account and the driver did exceptional well with making things happen.

HOWEVER, I will never use this broker house again, if you say you can provide something and then can not. Most folks are understanding if you just call / email or something to let them know what is going on. A little communication goes a long way.......But to just refuse any contact and what seems to be pawning off the trouble to other agents to make excuses is not the way to due business.

Overall the company may be good, and the other agents where helpful with what they could do and find out but I still do not recommend them.
