Excellent Service from Specialty Mobile

I needed to transport my 1967 Mustang show car accruss the USA in complete confidence. An enclosed trailer was a given requirement. I learned from speaking to many auto transport companies that most use the "Terminal" process even with "covered transportation.” This is where a covered trailer picks up your car as agreed, but then your car is off loaded to a non-covered, chain link fenced area (the "Terminal") where it sits until enough cars going to the same general area of the US can be arranged. Once enough cars are arranged the truck is loaded. This was not acceptable to me because 1) my show car would be out in the open and virtually unsecured, 2) the time frame could not be guaranteed (not even within a weeks time).

I contacted Specialty Mobile after finding them on auto-transport-reviews.com . I spoke with Don about my needs of a covered trailer, not having the car moved on/off the trailer during transport, having my car on the top rack (if a multi rack trailer is used), insurance coverage, and my time frames. I was expecting a 40' double rack type trailer, but Don did one better; he offered up a two place, bumper pull, covered car trailer and could meet my time frame. I preferred a one or two place trailer as opposed to a semi trailer situation so I was elated. Don was very accommodating on my schedule needs. In fact, he went as far as to pick my car up a few days early (due to my schedule) and store my car LOCKED in his trailer which in turn was LOCKED in his warehouse, until it was time for the move. And at no additinal charge! I was able to start my relocation knowing my car was safe and secure until it was time for the transport.

Greg (driver) called me daily, sometime more often, during the trip and I knew exactly where my car was the entire time. Greg had a truck problem which added a day to the transport, but he worked according to my schedule to deliver the car during my off work hours. Honestly, I didn’t care than an extra day was added to the transport because 1) it was of no fault to Greg; 2) I knew exactly where my car was and knew it was in good hands. Greg’s communication was outstanding and more than I expected.

I paid about $400 to $500 more than those "other guys", but if you have a show car or other valuable vehicle and you want it delivered with the care you would use yourself, call Specialty Mobile. No question.
