Once the sub contracted trucker was selected he called to give me numerous updates on pick up time. When he arrived for pick up a huge auto carrier swallowed my Infiniti and was carefully bolted down, in a matter of minutes he was off after saying that he would drive from NJ to Wa in three or four days. Sure enough 4 days later he called to warn me that the car would be delivered in two or so hours and called again when one hour away. This was especially helpful in that a doorman was receiving the auto. I haven't actually seen the car yet but the doorman did not call with any problems.

A suggestion:

I was told to have the car ready at a certain date and that I would be called prior to that date to confirm the pick up date.
There was no attempt to follow up with me even one week before the pick up date until I called to find out what was happening. Perhaps this is standard procedure, but if so I suggest that you tell the client that they may not get a call until the day of the suggested pick up date. I think that the best customer service would be to check with the customer a week before the pick up.
