My move was from Tacoma Washington to Central New Jersey. I went with Specialty Mobile Systems because of their reviews and ratings. It took me a long time to make up my mind of whom to move my car. I was scared! But i had to move it so i finally went with this company. My contract was farmed out to another company by SMS, no bid deal. I kinda expected it. I was contacted by the new company and got the drivers name and number. I called the driver and set up an initial pickup time of Monday the 6th. Actual pickup time was Wednesday night the 8th at 9pm. The driver was nice and courteiuos but didnt speak english all that well. No big deal, we got through it. I was told by the driver that the car would be delivered on the folowling Tuesday. No firm delivery date was expressed or paid for in the contract or by the company and also i told the driver not to be in a hurry either. So when Tuesday rolled around and no delivery i wasnt upset, nervous but not upset. The car finally arrived on Sunday morning. I had to go meet the drive and my car since he couldnt drive on the Air Force base for the delivery, again no big deal, I just wanted my car. I took delivery of my car in a parking lot and everything was fine. Really dirty but if i wanted it to be clean then i should have paid for an enclosed trailer. No damage, dents, or scratches. Thank god! My car is my baby, restored and worth over 25K. If you want a company to take care of you with honesty then go with Specialy Mobile Systems. If I need a car moving company i will use them again, but next time ill use an enclosed trailer to keep all the road grime off of my paint. Thanks and good luck on your move!!!!!
