after a conflict over discrepencies in writen and verbal quotes from another vendor, I chose specialty mobile after looking at this site abnd several others. they were in the middle of a $200 spread in providers. I was very aware of all the horror stories about delay, damage, et al and in moving my first car in this manner was very well prepared for just about anything. i found my dealings on the phone with four different persons at specialty to be honest and upfront.

I was set up with a carrier right away, but the carrier declined to pick-up several days later- apparently due to a 30 mile mix-up on location of pick-up. specialty got right in and arranged a second carrier in a 24 hour turn around.

the car actually was picked up a week after the initial contact with specialty mobile and the cross country transport was ten days, moving between two very small coastal communities.

the car arrived in great shape except for several pounds of the mojave desert on the body- expected on an open carrier. the carrier himself contacted me several times along the way and was reasonable and honest about in transit delays due to other vehicles and stops on the long haul.

I was very happy with the whole experience with specialty mobile, but would caution any person to read all documents carefully and be patient- most issues seem to be about unreasonable expectations and really hinge on the quality and integrity of the carriers used.
