I shipped a Toyota truck from Utah To vermont, I got lucky and found this site while doing research on carriers. I was really nervouse about shipping a vehicle after seeing some of the horror stories in some groups on the web. After looking a four or five of the companies reviewed on this site I settled on Specialty Mobile Systems as they seemed to fit my needs the best and had a lower price than most. They were very helpfull and anwered my questions, they subcontracted the shipping of my truck out to V & D Trucking. The driver contactacted my wife out in Utah promptly and worked out the best time to pick up the truck on Sunday (3 days after I first contacted Specialty Mobile) He Arrived on time and was very professional and got things done quickly. The next day he called me and worked out arraingements for dilivery, I gave him directions to where I work as there is a big unused parking lot there. He arrived Wednesday at 2:00 PM with my truck in the same condition as when he picked it up. The only thing I would mention is the type of payment; Specialty Mobile said a cashiers check would be okay so I whent to the bank and picked one up, when the driver called he begged me to get cash. He said there have been problems with people making fake checks on their computers that were indistinguishable from the real thing. This makes life hard on the trucking company as they are on the other side of country and find it hard to get their money. I got cash and he was gratefull.
I would definatly recomend this company again they did timly follow ups also.
