This was the first time that I have ever had to use a vehicle transport service. I sold my Portland, Oregon house in one day and needed to move to Houston, Texas fast, so I did some quick research online, and what sold me were the reviews on transportreviews.com about Specialty Mobile Systems. They're pretty much flawless. Then I verified that Specialty Mobile was registered with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Again, I was sold. So, I filled out their online form, and received an email quote the next day. I felt that the quote was very fair. Most of what you see out there say they'll send your vehicles for like $900. Well, I wasn't going to trust my vehicles to anybody. I had just bought a 2006 Honda Accord, and it was a month old when I shipped it. The other vehicle was a 2003 Honda Element. So, I called Specialty Mobile, and spoke with a wonderful woman named Dee. She set up everything, on a Thursday, and then I received a call the following morning from another wonderful woman whose name escapes me at the moment, but she was really nice and helpful. She told me that someone would contacting me today (Friday) to pick up both vehicles. I received a call from Gabriel Cars who were actually going to transport the vehicles, and they were very nice too. They met me that afternoon at a convenient location. We did the paperwork on both vehicles which basically consists of the vehicles license numbers, VIN, color, year, make, model, but they also made a notation of any existing flaws so that they're not liable, which is understandable. The vehicles arrived 12 days later in the Houston area which was fine since I was still a day away driving a Uhaul truck. My parents signed for the release of both vehicles which were dusty, of course, but no dents, or scratches. Specialty Mobile recommends that you take a large bath towel to wipe the dust off to see if there are any new flaws to the vehicle. I'm really, really happy that I went this route as there was no other option, but I have to admit that it's difficult to let go of control of both your vehicles. I decided to have faith in this company and it paid off. Dee was a sweetheart, and every time you called you spoke to someone who was very willing to help you out. I highly recommend them as I would use them again in a heartbeat should the need ever arise.
