Overcame problem, car arrived on time and in good shape

SMS arranged for the transport of my car from Fairfield County, Connecticut to Sacramento County, California. I signed-up with them because they had the best reviews and the best price - $1195. They asked for a 10-day window for pick-up, which was fine. When the SMS customer service person called me half-way between the window, she provided the name of the contracted carrier but could not provide a pick-up date. The company they had contracted -- Exotic Carriers -- finally called me around 4 pm before the last possible date of pick-up. I was told they would be at my house by 10 am because they would leave Hartford, Connecticut around 8 am. I called to check on the status at 9:30 am and learned that they ran into heavy traffic coming out of New York (which is in the opposite direction) and would not arrive until 12 noon at the very earliest. I gave the keys to my sister, who waited for the truck, which arrived mid to late afternoon. Exotic's air conditioning had broken down but the guy was very nice. Two days later(Thursday or Friday), I received a call from SMS. Exotic's truck had broken down and my car was in their lot in New Jersey. The customoer service person was very professional, explained the situation, and gave me options for how to proceed. They worked within my time frame (I was leaving for my wedding and short honeymoon within the next 1 1/2 weeks) and identified another auto carrier. The new carrier - An Accurate Auto Carrier - delivered the car bright and early on the following Saturday morning. The car was in excellent shape and the driver was very nice. Although there were some difficulties -- which sometimes cannot be avoided - SMS delivered my car in good shape and within 10 days of pick-up. I would definitely use them again.
