I really couldn't say enough good things about my experience with SMS. Like other reviewers I did ALOT of research before shipping a huge '56 Chevy 4x4 mod (almost 80" tall) from Wyoming to Texas. Although I got a couple of quotes for a bit less that SMS, most were more expensive due to the size of this vehicle (quotes ranged from $650 - $1600 with most around $1200: SMS came in at $950).

I was almost set to go with SMS based on the moderate quote combined with the customer feedback left here, but it was really the first phone call that sealed the deal. I usually just hope for no automated queueing ("phone jail": we've all been there), it's always beyond my highest hopes to have a human who is friendly, personable, and competent answer the phone; but that's what I got! It's a family operation and I really got that sense with everyone I talked with over the course of the move.

Although SMS didn't have a truck in the pickup area that week, they arranged for a pick-up with a contractor. The contractor, Greg, actually showed up a day earlier than planned, and only a week after my initial contact with SMS (I was thinking it might take a while to get someone out to the middle of Wyoming for the pickup). Greg was just as friendly as everyone at SMS (which is saying alot) and showed a real concern for my satisfaction.

There was plenty of communication at every stage of the delivery process and my vehicle, which was collected Thurday morning, arrived from its journey of 1000 miles Saturday evening a bit dusty from the trek, but unharmed.

THANKS AGAIN to EVERYONE at SMS! If I ever ship another car I'll be giving you a call!
