What a great transaction!

This fall, I moved from CT to NV. My employer expected that I would drive the 2,500+ miles. I decided not to drive and instead began searching for a carrier to transport my 2004 Lexus ES330.

I came to this web site and contacted the top 5 businesses. My first and then final carrier was Speciality Mobile Systems. My notes read "very friendly, profesional, family-owned - sounds good." As it turns out my first impressions were accurate.

I talked with several of the staff there including Don Ferris and Dee, a delightful woman who answered the phone frequently. Once I decided to go with Speciality Mobile - we set a date and waited for a carrier to pick up my car. I made a initial payment of $195 via a credit card. I left it in Ft. Lee, NJ with a friend and flew on out to Reno.

Within the 10-day time frame, I received a call from Mr. Ferris informing me that Grizzly Motors would be picking up my car in a couple of days. I thought fine. Then I read the June 9, 2004, review on this web site left by a person from Lexington, SC. I just panicked. It sounded like a nightmare. I didn't want my Lexus picked up by a driver for Grizzly Motors.

I called Mr. Ferris and he understood my concern considering the review. He told me he had never had a problem with David Pierce, the owner of Grizzly Motors. He gave me the names of several references who had used Grizzly and I called them. They all had positive things to say. I began to realize that this was one person's experience and may not be mine. I also knew there had to be two sides to the story.

Long story short - I went with Grizzly Motors because Specialty Mobile Systems would not risk their good business standing. Turns out, I could not have been happier with the service. Mr. Pierce contacted my friend who had the car, made an appointment to pick it up, arrived on time - a block or so away because he could not make it down the street where the car was. He was friendly and professional to my friend. He did a detailed inspection of the car, completed all the forms, and loaded the car up.

The car arrvied in Reno within a few short days. Mr. Pierce and his wife, Linda, kept me informed almost daily of the estimated delivery day and time. Unfortunately, once he arrived in Reno something mechanical went wrong with the carrier. Mr. Pierce unloaded my car, with my permission, and drove it to my home. Prior to arriving, he had the car washed.

My 2004 Lexus was in the same condition as it had been the day it was loaded onto the carrier. Linda and David were both there at delivery and it was a most cordial and professional transaction. The amount due was exactly what I had been told it would be ($800) and all terms were met.

I highly recommend both Speciality Mobile Systems and Grizzly Motors. My transaction was A+!!!
