I chose Specialty Mobile Systems after reviewing comments here, checking out their website, and talking with their customer service representative (Dee), and am glad I made the right decision. I needed to transport my vehicle from Texas to Maryland, and like many of you, i wanted to find a company that had a good track record and took the necessary steps to ensure that our vehicles arrived in the same condition as it was prior to delivery. There were several good transport companies to pick from and I probably would have had a satisfactory experience with them as well, but what made SMS stand out above the rest was their customer service response. My thanks go to Dee who guided me through the whole process, and accommodated my specific requests. Their price was not the lowest, but was not the highest either. I received about 15 different quotes and their quote of $795 was very fair. The pick-up was scheduled just a few days after I made the transport order and was delivered within the window of its expected delivery date. The vehicle was transported by Perez Transportation and arrived in a cleaner condition than I expected for a vehicle being transported a long distance in the winter. The driver was very friendly and contacted me as he approached the delivery destination to identify a specific location big enough for his truck. He arrived at the location within 15 minutes of our agreed upon time (during the rush hour of the Capital Beltway which is no picnic) and was especially careful when unloading my vehicle. I couldn't be more satisfied, and want to thank Dee again for making this a very positive experience. I can recommend Specialty Mobile Systems wholeheartedly, without hesitation.
