Lack of communication

I moved two cars from FL to CA. One car was picked up and delivered promptly, but was very dirty and dusty upon arrival, causing me to wonder where it had been since it was supposed to be an enclosed transportation. The other delivery was problematic in that it was late by over a week. The issue was that the driver's back went out halfway across the country. Obviously this was not his fault and couldn't have been predicted, but my complaint is the lack of communication. I had to call the driver repeatedly to find out the status of the delivery. Specialty Motors is merely a broker to find you a carrier, whereas I thought they would take more responsibility for managing and monitoring the delivery of the vehicle.
