Complete Let-down

These guys were clowns. The phone service was great initially, leading me to think it would be a completely smooth operation. I was told my car would be picked up at 8:30am on the day scheduled (a Thursday). By 3:45pm we hadn't heard anything and after a phone call to inquire on the delay, they didn't know about my order. SAVE YOUR PAPERWORK. That was the only thing that saved me, since I was able to show I had faxed in the order 5 days prior and was able to cite my customer order. Only then did I get an answer, which was, "We're sourcing a truck now." When I asked about the delay they said they "Don't deal in guarantees, only in approximations" and that that is the "industry standard." Then they claimed the service rep who provided an 8:30 pick-up quote was overzealous in doing their job.

We arranged for a pick up the following day (Friday) at noon. That slipped to 5:00. Then it slipped to Saturday. Then the driver's truck broke down and he said it wouldn't get picked up in time for a Saturday pick-up and he doesn't work on Sundays. I had to call the parent company back and complain, then the driver agreed to a Sunday pick-up. What was supposed to be a door-to-door operation turned into my neighbor having to drive it ten miles from the house...I had already moved out of town and had to have the neighbor handle this as a favor.

Upon delivery, the driver was late. It was supposed to be there on the 18th, then slipped to the 19th. The morning delivery was slipped into an afternoon delivery, then the driver called and asked if delivering it at midnight would be acceptable (which it wasn't). It was the 20th when it finally arrived.

In the end, I was given discounts off the price as reparation for the lousy service. But this was a total clown show. I have already made it a point to dissuade a colleague from using this company on his move next week and will continue to do so for any other people I know.

I will admit that the car arrived in good shape, however it was very late and very painful to execute this transaction. Run...do not walk...away from this company.
