You know the saying "the 3rd time is the charm?" That was the case for me. Moving from CA to PA, I researched a ton of brokers trying to find one that would provide quality transport at an affordable cost. The main requirement I had for transport (besides, obviously, safe delivery) was that I did not want my car to arrive in PA before I did, as I was flying out to PA myself around the same time I was hoping for the car to be delivered.
I first chose Duo Fast Transport, only to find out several days later that they had increased the price we had originally agreed to on the Central Dispatch Board by an extra $100. When I inquired about that, I was told that the increased price was just to "bait" the driver and that, "90% of the time," Duo Fast was able to "talk the price down with the driver" to the original price agreed to by the customer. Needless to say, I terminated my contract with Duo Fast immediately.
I then entered into business with Direct Express Auto Transport. For some reason, Direct Express was unable to do the simple math required to set the "available date" so that they could ensure that my car would not arrive in PA before I did. Further, although my car was considered "available" for over a week and a half, I had to be the one to constantly call Direct Express and find out if my car had been assigned to a driver; they NEVER contacted me. It was a VERY frustrating experience.
Thankfully, just as I was getting ready to cancel my order with Direct Express, Gilles at State 2 State contacted me to tell me that there was a driver going from CA to PA if I was still interested. When I told him I had an order with Direct Express, he checked the Central Dispatch Board and told me that of the cars requiring shipment from CA to PA, there were 35 or 36 cars ahead of me on the Board because of Direct Express' inadequate pricing, and that it would be another two weeks before I would receive my car. Of course, Direct Express NEVER bothered to tell me any of this. Whenever I called them, they simply said that they were "working on it." Frustrated beyond belief, I cancelled the order with Direct Express immediately.
I created the order with Gilles on a Friday and he said the driver would pick up the car on Tuesday or Wednesday, with an estimated delivery of either that weekend or early the following week. Instead, the driver picked up my car early, on Sunday, and I received my vehicle early morning on Thursday!! The entire process was very professional, efficient and stress-free!!
My only regret is that I didn't contact State 2 State first!!!
