SBS was very diligent to get our business. The representative called many times but once the contract was completed, the communication was not too frequent. I wasn't worried at first. My car was scheduled to arrive to port July 24th and I had selected the 28th as first available pick up date.
The shipping company then held the car until the 29th so I contacted SBS but couldn't reach them. That's when I began worrying. I never spoke to the representative who I made the contract with again, but I continued to email him. I did finally get through and it was a dispatcher who answered. I informed her of the delay the car would have and she informed me the driver was already dispatched to get my car.
The driver did go and try to get the car on the 28th even though I had already informed SBS the car wouldn't be ready, so I don't think they communicate well with their drivers. Then contacting the driver himself was another project. Most of the time I would get his voice mail, so I would email him, but the responses were very limited. I informed him he could pick the car up on the 30th of July and he said he would probably get it on the 31st, which didn't happen.
The driver finally went back to get my car on August 4th, so I wasn't to pleased. When the vehicle arrived at my home it had a dent and scratch that was not there originally. I confronted the driver and he said he was given the car with that damage. I asked for the inspection form the shipping company gave him when he picked up my car and he said there was none. I thought I could claim the damage to the shipping company so I contacted the shipping company the next day and they stated the car had no damage upon delivery and that they DID give the inspection form to the driver.
As I looked through ALL the documents, I did find the form, folded as if hidden between all the documents. The damage isn't big, but looks ugly. I'm not going to go through the hassle of getting the driver or SBS to pay for this, so I'll just leave it as is, but SBS won't get my recommendation ever again. I did get my car delivered to my home, but I don't appreciate the bad communication, receiving the car with damage and then being lied to.
SBS, will not be recommended.
