- It you need your car soon, do not use this company. Seven promised business days turned into 9 (13 total days). After 5 bus days I had to call every day to get them to assign a driver.

-Pick up was at midnight!!

-My credit card was charged $145 deposit when I set up the transaction. First invoice said I had to pay remaining $200 to driver. When driver was assigned, without an explanation, I received a new invoice stating that deposit was $45 and I had to pay $300 to driver. After numerous calls and e mails, I talked with someone who promised $100 would be refunded to may credit card within 5 business days after delivery. 12 business days after delivery, an e mail requesting refund, and Stateway phone promises of the refund, I received my credit card bill showing $145 charge and no refund. I had to call my credit card company to dispute the charges. That is how I got my refund. I kept proof of everything. I asked the driver to give me a receipt for the cash I paid upon delivery.

We value our customers feedback and appreciate any and all constructive criticism since we believe that only by listening to that can a company truly better their performance. With that said, it is important to point out some important left out facts. Stateway is a broker/carrier which means that we ship on our own trucks and we use subcontracted carriers if the route requires it. On this order, our company was not the carrier. The company that shipped this vehicle is called American Spec Transportation LLC. Although we agree that a pickup at midnight was highly unprofessional, it is equally unfair to blame us for the actions of a completely separate third party company. Nonetheless, we have notified the contracted carrier that if this happens again and they do not stick to the terms which we set forth (i.e. that a pickup should not take place later than 9pm) then we will not do business with them in the future. Likewise, the refund on this order would have been issued this week had Mrs. Morales not called her credit card company and disputed the entire deposit (even though we owed only a portion of that back to her) which is a clear violation of our agreed upon contract with her. It is important to note that we reached out to this customer on numerous occasions in an attempt to resolve this matter and address her grievances. Mrs. Morales was very unresponsive and at times even hostile towards our efforts. We thank you for taking the time to read our response. We hope that you have a great day and a Happy New Year!
