I have to say that I first tried to get a quote from Honesty First Auto Transport, because of the name and the great quote on this site (680). But when I called them, Tom said it would be more like $900 and that we would need to go up to at least 850-900 dollars to get someone interested in transporting the vehicle. That the transport reviews website always has prices way underbid. Well, the bigger difference put me off, including his attitude. Then when I got the quote via email it was 1200. Then another for 850. I got the distinct feeling I was being yanked around. So I requested a quote from Stateway Auto. They were prompt with a quote of $675. I have to say, I was a bit nervous, feeling this price wasn't going to come through either. But sure enough, the following week after Susie had contacted both the person/place the vehicle was coming from and the destination where the vehicle would be going (and contact person), they stood by their quote. The vehicle arrived that weekend and the price was what was quoted to me. Since it was an open carrier, the vehicle was a bity dirty, but everything otherwise traveled well. The transport driver was professional and courteous, was paid in cash. Statewide Auto did require their deposit upfront and what remained was the transport drivers pay. Susie was great to keep in touch with my contact people on both ends. I would not recommend Honesty First Auto Transport, don't let the name fool you. Stateway Auto will get my future business!
