I purchased a new BMW sports coupe from an out-of-state dealer and needed it shipped approximately 2300 miles to me. The dealer immediately suggested Sun Rise, saying that they move dozens of cars with them each month. I was hesitant to ship using a service that I myself hadn't vetted, and I was doubly unsure about putting my new bright yellow 2015 M4 on an open trailer.
I immediately checked the reviews on this site and became very concerned. I called the BMW dealer back and nearly cancelled the job. Both the sales manager and chief logistics person at this large dealer continued to go to bat for Sun Rise, and even offered to cover any mishaps if the car arrived in less than perfect condition. I was impressed by how much the dealership believed in Sun Rise, so I decided to stick with the plan.
Because of my doubts, I requested phone numbers of the driver and company owner, as well as photos of the odometer and the car on the trailer. Once the car was loaded, I called Greg (owner of Sun Rise). He knew about my concerns and assured me that my car would get exceptional care. He put my mind at ease, describing his body of work and his relationships with dealers who are just as demanding as I am. He set expectations for delivery, explaining when and where it was going to happen. The car was picked up on Thursday and due to arrive on Tuesday.
Tuesday came and I got the call as expected from Anna, the driver's co-pilot. I went to the agreed-upon pickup spot and was surprised to see that my car arrived with little to no evidence of it being out in the elements for 5 days and 2300 miles. I didn't even wash it for a week - didn't need to. I was greeted by two of the most friendly people I've ever met (Richard and Anna are priceless). They both complimented my car multiple times. Richard then had me sign a paper, and they hopped back in their trailer and left. There I was, suddenly left with my new M4. I spent even more time inspecting it - it arrived in flawless condition, not a single mile added to the odometer.
