Let me just say that when it comes to auto transport brokers, Suncoast Auto Transport is the model that these other "companies" should strive to be. Straight up, cut and dry, honest people all the way around. I had to move my 2004 Jeep Cherokee from New York to Florida. Fortunately, I had started to look into transporting my vehicle a couple months ahead of time. I'll tell you what, I'm so glad I did. Having the luxury of having some flexibility time-wise, it allowed me to do my homework. Of the several quotes I got, Jason at Suncoast was the only one who took the time to explain to me how the "system" works. There was no pressure whatsoever at anytime and the correspondence was superb. As a matter of fact, their company actually sent me a very informative e-mail explaining to me almost verbatim what Jason had told me as to how these companies arrive at their pricing. For the small fee Suncoast charges (which not a penny was charged to me, as Jason had explained, until I was reserving my spot on a carrier), it is worth EVERY PENNY!!! After getting a quote through Suncoast, I proceeded to get a few more quotes from other "brokers". Basically, as I learned, is that each and every one of these brokers uses the same network/ load posting board on the Internet. So in essence, where the money is made for these brokers is in the deposit fee. The rest of the fee is the negotiated price with the carrier to haul the car. No fewer than three other companies demanded their "deposit" up front without even knowing which carrier would be moving my vehicle. Not so with Suncoast. A relative of mine had gone through this shortly before I did, and they were actually "duped" out of
their down payment and was told it was non-refundable when they switched to another carrier. My relative had gone with the lowest estimate she found , only to find out that more and more money/fees accumulated as time went on "in order to get a carrier to accept her vehicle". In the end, the final cost was roughly $400 HIGHER than the original bid. Suncoast gave me their quote, and that is exactly what I paid. I was at no point asked for a single penny more. Old-fashioned honesty and transparency. My vehicle arrived on time looking just as it did when it was loaded onto the carrier. The driver was very professional and courteous. I paid him the balance with a money order, just as Jason had suggested, and that was it. Done. I have since recommended Suncoast to two other people that have used them, with the same results. In short, let me save everybody some time. Make Suncoast your first call for a quote and go from there. That easy. Hopefully I won't be having to transport my vehicle anytime soon (no more winters for this guy hopefully) LOL, but if I do, I know who to call. THANK YOU JASON and SUNCOAST for making at least one part of my move that much easier. I will continue to refer you without hesitation to any of my friends/ family. Two BIG thumbs up!!
