I was pretty nervous about having my non-running vw pickup hauled across country after sitting for 2 years, but the time had come. I did some research and called around, quotes were as high as 1750, Suncoast did it for 1400. Customer service was great, everything was well coordinated. The driver I got was a bad a#$, he got his car carrier close enough to my friends house/ then helped my friend drag it close enough to winch it up on to the carrier. Far above and beyond the call of duty, you should have seen where my friend had stuck it. I had him meet me at a nearby truck stop with a rollback waiting to gently place my favorite truck in my drive way. It worked out to something like 1.65 per mile, and they pick it up and drop it off( and these prices reflect a pain in the a#$ non running vehicle). If that's worth it to you do it.
