Normally I don't write reviews, no matter how bad or good the service is. But I feel that this time I need to tell everybody how TM Shipping had saved me. I do understand that sometimes things happen the way you don't expect them to. BUT the company I've been dealing with before I went with TMShipping was absolutely unprofessional! My name is Rebecca, and my car shipping experience turned out to be pretty bad as I happened to choose, probably the worst transportation company out there (I will not mention their name as my lawyer is still dealing with it). I’ll tell you more. Somewhere 3 weeks earlier, I found out that I would urgently have to move to Orlando, Florida for a family matter. Of course, there was no question of leaving my car in Providence, Rhode Island where I lived. And I simply couldn't spend a couple of days on the road to bring my car to Florida. Options? Of course, use the service that will deliver my car directly to Orlando! Bingo! I did not go to the very first company that I found online. At first, I did my research and went through plenty of reviews for many shipping companies, including reviews on their websites. A superficial study of opinions showed that it was worth contacting this transportation company, which I did. Let me remind you that before my departure there were still a whole 3 week period left, and I wanted to protect myself from 'force majeure'. As I called them, a pleasant male voice answered me - the young man introduced himself as Andrew. He listened to my requirements and said that there was no problem with accommodating my needs, and that on the appointed day a driver would be waiting for me to pick up my car and take it to Orlando. I was sincerely glad that the service in the company is at a high level and even the low price did not bother me - it never hurts to avoid some extra expenses, you know. But as two weeks passed by, I started to get a bit nervous since no representative of this shipping company called me. 'What if they forgot about me and I already booked my flight?' - I wondered. I decided to give them a call myself. In response to my question whether there will be a driver on the day indicated by me, Andrew confirmed that there will be a driver, but he could not give the info about the person who will be assigned to deliver my car just now, and that he would specify this information later in the day. And what do you think happened? You'd think he called me? No! In general, there was no reason to worry so far because there was still more than a week left before the time my car had to be picked up. Although my friends from Providence were a little surprised when I complained to them that there was uncertainty about the pick-up. I also stopped to be worried as my friends said that I could leave my car with them for a few days in case something goes wrong, and it would have to be picked up after I leave. Three days before flying to Orlando, I called the shipping company again. The answer simply thrilled me: it turned out that they couldn’t provide the driver for the dates requested. They said that all carriers were booked as the demand for shipping has increased for the past week ... What??? 'Why wasn't I notified so I could look for a different company? And what was the whole point of booking all this that far in advance??' - I asked. To say that I was upset is to say nothing. I had a lot of trips to make in Florida, and car rental was certainly NOT an option for me. I was so disappointed ... Three days remained, and I had to urgently think of a plan 'B'. I stopped googling and started to ask around so I could get a recommendation from a real person on what company I should go with. Luckily, one of my friends from Florida advised me to contact TMShipping (she used their services last year during the high season and was left satisfied with the way everything went), and I called them. Despite the fact that I was in Rhode Island, and the TMShipping office was located in Miami, they assured me that they can arrange everything. They promised to look into my application as soon as possible and provide an answer within a couple of hours. I no longer hoped for success, but an hour later Anna called me back and clarified around what time I had to be prepared to meet the driver for pickup. I indicated that it would be most convenient from noon to 6 p.m., because my flight was scheduled for later in that same evening. They confirmed to me that the driver had already received my contact details and would call me back tomorrow to discuss a more price pickup timing. In the morning, TMShipping met my expectations - I was contacted by the driver named Jonas, he made sure that I will be present at the pickup address specified on a certain time; he also confirmed all the details for my car and made sure it's ready to go; he also gave me an idea on the day for delivery so I could at least have an estimated date and get ready to meet him. And cheers! Exactly at noon he called and notified me that he is arriving in about 40 minutes. HE DID! He loaded my car on his trailer, handed me all the papers and took off. All of it took no more than 15 minutes! I was also a bit of a surprise to me how polite and professional the driver looked and acted. I had no doubt in mind that my car is in good hands! By the way, about the cost. The amount for delivery of my car invoiced to me by Anna from TMShipping was very similar to the one I got from the previous company. Moreover, she had also provided me with a discount as she felt how frustrated I was with this whole situation! All in all, if you need to urgently receive high-quality car transportation services, I wouldn't have trusted anyone but TMShipping. I hope my review will help you make the right choice, as well as save your time and spare your nerves communicating with unreliable carriers.
