Like many of you, I went online to get a quote & was bombarded with e mails, ranging in price from $525 to $2000. I found transport reviews to be an excellent guide, due to the real time of posted reviews. We settled on 5 possible shippers, & narrowed to Top Notch, due to the consistent praise of satisfied customers.
We contacted Becky B., who is exactly who you need to answer the phone, in a transport situation. It is very smart, that they have You, fill out the online questionerre form, as to reduce the possibility of wrong information, regarding your move.
Ideally, you would want to have an owner operated fleet, move your vehicle, but that is an outdated premise, & just not how business operates today. Summit Transportation was contracted to move our 38 Dodge Pickup, and arrived exactly as stated.
The vehicle seller was satisfied, & so were we, when everything went like clockwork, having the vehicle here in 4 days, & ahead of schedule.
After the vehicle was loaded, & in NY, Becky put thru her deposit payment request, as stated, in their contract. I would suggest that you avoid authorizing a down payment to any firm, prior to having your vehicle loaded.
We had No trouble at all, & must say that communication between Kurt/ Summit, & Becky / Top Notch, was excellent.
After using several different firms over the last 10 years, I will always contact Top Notch First.
