I started through google. Immediately I received a barrage of emails, Robophone calls and the like. I received a call from a human being, Todd Tillman, who expressed his interest in transporting my car. I told him I would take a look at the quotes I received and call him back. Todd informed me that I would be receiving outlandishly low quotes, and some higher quotes, but he would be somewhere in the middle.

I went home and did my research. From No Cal to Kansas for a Dodge 2500 Club Cab Long bed I was getting quotes as low as $400 and as High as over $2000. The higher quotes also warned me about the low quotes and that I may never get my car picked up at the lower quote level.

I called Todd back and we negotiated a bit. He spoke to me with absolute candor. He informed me that at the lower price, we would have a harder time getting the vehicle transported, but he would try to get that done. I stated that I was not in a hurry and he should try to get it at that level.

During this time, from a few companies, I began to receive actual human beings calling me as well as dozens more robocalls and follow up emails from other companies. Message to those companies... hire a human being and you might get some business. Some of the robocalls are truly obnoxious.

We received a bid from an independent carrier and Todd called me back and stated we would need to go a little higher to get the vehicle in on that shipment. I took the offer and have received my truck and we are delighted with the service.

Bottomline, if you are a novice like i was, I have the following advice:

1. Don't deal with the lowest price offer... you get what you pay for.
2. Deal with a human being. Todd answered or returned every call I made (I made several..even on Saturday and Sunday) and contacted me several times during the waiting period.
3. Don't give a "deposit" to anyone, especially the low-priced carriers. Todd did not collect until after my vehicle was delivered. He didn't make a nickel until I received my truck.
4. Finally, I recommend you deal with a company where you get personal service, and you deal with the same person whether you have an issue on delivery, billing, progress of the shipment, etc. Todd was aces in all of these categories.

I give Top Rank 5 Stars out of 5. You will not be disappointed if you use his service.
