Total Car Shipping had sent me a bid to transport my truck from TN to AL. When I accepted the bid, I was assigned an agent by the name of Christopher Scott. We initially spoke on a Friday and I explained to Christopher that while it wasn't a dire need to arrange to have my truck shipped immediately, I did clearly explain that it was pertinent that the truck be shipped by a week from the upcoming Sunday (9 days).

Christopher was adamant that the arranged date would not be an issue. I explained that I had the key and asked Christopher how I should arrange to have the key available for the driver. Christopher suggested to ship it to him at Total Car Shipping in Hollywood, FL. I shipped it to him Priority on that Friday, then called him on the following Saturday to confirm he received it, which he did.

By the time Wednesday came and I had not heard from Christopher, I decided to call him to check on a status update on my order. Christopher again assured me that everything was lined up, but that he needed to call me back in 10 minutes with the details. After a few hours I assumed he must have got busy, so I called him to get the details regarding the order; no answer/left message for him to call me back.

When Thursday afternoon came and I still had not heard from him, I called him only to tell me again that everything with the order was good, but that he just needed to call me right back with the details. It was at this moment that it became apparent that he had actually had nothing lined up at all and was putting me off.

I immediately explained my concern and told him to just please cancel the order and arrange to just ship the key back to me as well as reminded him that it was now Thursday afternoon and our agreed mandatory ship by date was Sunday with him having absolutely nothing even remotely lined up. He sincerely explained that he could still handle the order if I were to just give him one more hour to try and initiate what he had 6 days to handle.

At that point, I had no choice but to give him one more shot if there was any chance to meet the ship date of Sunday. One hour passed and he actually did call, only to say that everything was taken care of and that he would call me back in one more hour with the details. I knew then to find a different company and that I had just wasted an entire week without transportation trying to be polite, professional and patient with this individual who now was not even answering my phone call.

Christopher did decide to pick up the phone on Friday when I called again to inform him that I would like to cancel the order and ask to ship the key back to me Priority mail; just as I had sent it to him. Christopher then told me that he would have to call me back "in 10 minutes" to explain how the company was going to agree to ship the key back. Of course I never heard anything and now I was stuck having placed an order with a different, more seemingly legitimate company, who actually did arrange the transport and could provide the details of the order immediately, but just needed the key to be shipped to me to be overnighted to the pick up location.

At this point, Christopher had completely quit answering any of my calls and when Sunday came and I had no key, which, if it had actually been sent back to me as I sent it to them and had specifically requested as a simple courtesy, would have arrived Saturday for me to ship and have at the pick up location by Monday, ultimately I now had to cancel the order with the legitimate company and continue not having transportation.

By Tuesday, I was done calling Christopher and called the direct line to the company to speak with a manager only to have another "agent" who seemed as intelligent and professional as Christopher tell me that the manager left for the day and didn't know when or if he was coming back, but that she was sure that it wouldn't be that day. This was at 9:15 A.M.!

When the only way I was going to find out anything about where my key was or if I was going to get it back was to call Christopher, that's what I did. When he finally picked up on Thursday, he informed me that, (QUOTE) "I'll throw your f(explicative) key out into the f(explicative) ocean, Bro. You'll get your f(explicative) key when you get it."

I only wish I was joking about this experience! I'm taking this time to write this in hopes that no one else has to ever deal with this company or the "agents" that represent this company.

Sir, We are sorry that you were disappointed with our services. We did our best to provide you the services you expected. Sir, you accuse Total Car Shipping of poor service yet you never authorized us to move your car and paid us nothing. Even so we did try to find you a driver that met your needs of schedule and price. Regrettably this was not possible and even with many calls out to prospective drivers, none were interested in transporting your vehicle. While we frequently find drivers for very difficult loads it is not always possible. We can't make a driver transport your vehicle and if none are in the area or running your route then there is nothing we can do. Lastly, I wish to remind you that all our customer calls are recorded and that your description of events is not really accurate. I'm sure that you would not be happy if we were to post the recorded conversion on the internet. Not that we would do such a thing, still I am sure you would blush at the thought. We hope that you do get your vehicle transported and wish you the best.
