I asked for a quote on-line for transport of a jeep we bought for my daughter and I received 30-40 quotes via email and phone. I choose to use Transpacific b/c their quote was one of the best and Tina, the rep seemed very confident and honest.

That was Monday and now it is Thursday and each day she has promised me each day that the car would be picked up and all is good. each day that the car wasn't picked up there was an excuse of either the driver broke down (twice) and then told me after the 4th day that all of sudden no drivers could get to Victoria and that if I want it shipped is would be more than double to ship ($850 instead of $400) and I would have to pay a portion up front and to top it off if wouldn't be here until Monday.

My wife and I were giving out daughter the Jeep on Saturday for her 16th birthday and that wont happen now and the frustration is in the confidence that I was given that "if you use us- we will get it done" . Now they say they cant do anything about and if I don't pay the extra $450 I am out of luck.

To me where the big error lies with this company and that they will do anything to get your business and not disclose any of the hassles that go along with using a hauler to haul a car and then drag you along each day giving you the confidence that it will be arriving the next day. Once you are in a bind and it is too late to start with a new company, they find an option that is more than double and wont be there for 3-4 days after. That is what is called "Bait and Switch" in the legal world and that is what happened to me.

Because of what I experienced and the detrimental impact of what transpired (we will go out Saturday night to dinner with our daughter and not be able to give her the Jeep), I would steer against using this company and also if you use anything hauling company make sure you ask the questions about the reliability b/c they all will tell you a quote that will most likely change and also the drivers they use in general are not very reliable. The fact that it wasn't disclosed to me that this is a fluid process and things can change all the time was where they failed and if I had of known that I would have done a private delivery (but see then they wouldn't get the business so they have to make it sound like it is the best).

I know have to decide whether to pay them b/c now I am such a bind or start fresh with a new company that may do the same thing.
