Must Read Before Selecting Carrier

I consider myself very lucky to have found Bill Avrich of Transport Connection and Stooneys Auto Transportation. This was my first time using a car carrier and they delivered beyond expectations. I found the car I had been searching for, a Classic 1969 GTO in Lewistown, PA on 10/21/12. It was exactly like the one I had forty years ago after graduating from college. I was more than excited to get it to Florida ASAP. I spoke to Bill and the shipper on 10/23 and delivery was promised by 11/3. Well, besides the fact that Lewistown, PA is out in the middle of nowhere and it was snowbird season and northerner's were all shipping their cars to Florida, Hurricane Sandy hits exactly where the carriers home base is. So my first reaction of course is to panic and worry about when and if the car will get here.

But all my worries were immediately erased as a result of the timely and consistent contact by Bill, Lori the manager of Stooneys and Donny the driver that was scheduled to pick the car up. That's right, even the driver of the truck called not only me but also the seller to keep us informed reference pickup and delivery. And Donny did all this when his home had no electricity and he had obvious personal worries of his own due to the hurricane. With logistic challenges and Hurricane Sandy and personal impacts to overcome, the car was delivered to me at 7am on 11/5 (Monday). Virtually no difference considering the national disaster going on.

So here's the bottom line, if need to get it done call Bill at Transport Connection.
