Transport of Nissan 350Z from Florida to California

I spoke to Bill at Transport Connect on Monday, March 4 to schedule the transport of my Nissan 350Z from Florida to California. Bill's role is to link a customer with reliable, high quality auto transporters - he does not transport the vehicles himself but instead has contacts with many transport companies specializing in auto transport. Bill immediately called two transport companies and conferenced us in for a 3-way call. These companies provided competitive pricing but were not going to be able to pick-up the car for delivery for ~ 2-weeks. Bill then posted the job on the "Board" for $900. Bill's expertise is in his connections with the companies and knowing what price to post to ensure a high-quality transport company will take the load but the customer will not be overcharged. Bill discussed the details and pricing with me so I was familiar with the process and we agreed on the price to post together (based on his experience). We received a bid from a company that Bill had worked with before and knew was high quality - J&M Auto Transport. J&M was paid $900.00 for the transport and Bill was paid $250.00 for finding and brokering the deal. Bill communicated frequently and quickly. I received emails after every conversation within 5-minutes, explaining the process, cost, order#, phone numbers, reviews, etc. I always felt that I knew what was happening and was comfortable with the transaction. J&M Auto picked up my car in Florida on Thursday, March 7th (the earliest they could have picked up the car was on Wednesday, March 6th). They estimated 5-7 days for delivery. They delivered the car in 5-days - on the early end of their estimate. J&M also had good communication. They called me the day before delivery to state they would be delivery the car the next day Tuesday, March 12 in the afternoon. They called me on Tuesday and we agreed on a time range of 3:30 - 4:00pm. I thought they would be late as this was rush hour in Silicon Valley, but J&M Auto delivered the car at precisely 3:30 pm (thanks Juan). The car was in good shape, they were careful removing it from the truck and the whole process took less than 5-minutes. I was very impressed with both companies for their professionalism and accountability as all work was performed on time, professional at the cost agreed upon. Bill's email communication frequency and quick replies was particularly impressive. Overall great experience and I would use both companies again.
