Nothing Good

I chose Transport Kings, because they appeared to have a good rating, Robert told me he had a carrier in the area and the vehicle would be picked up by the weekend (booked on 2-1-2011 - vehicle to be picked up on 2-6 or 2-7 "at the latest") and because of the cost. Vehicle did not get picked up. I did contact Robert multiple times to help confirm that all was OK and would work out, I was told yes on most occasions - when I contacted him after the day I was supposed to be scheduled (2-8-2011) I received an e-mail from him stating that my business was just not worth it, that he did not have time to "baby sit me" - needless to say, the vehicle was not picked up. He also told me to contact his dispatcher from then on. I called the main number and spoke to a dispatcher (Amy), she could not tell me why the vehicle was not picked up, but that she would work on it and try to find out why. Several days went by, no information, dispatcher (Amy) was fairly responsive in the beginning, then after about a week I could not get anyone to answer the phone (got voice mail, but would not allow me to leave a message) and the few times that I did get a person to answer, I would ask for the dispatcher (Amy) and was told they would have her call me back. I never heard back. After 3 weeks I sent an e-mail to cancel my order and never got confirmation that it was cancelled. I ended up driving to Iowa and picking the vehicle up myself. On another note - the website stated that Transport Kings did not require any money up front, but Robert told me that was not correct and that to guarantee the vehicle would be picked up that original weekend, I needed to give him $150.00 - I am out the $150.00 and have not seen even a portion of it refunded. It seems what is important to the customer is a pain in the you know what to Transport Kings staff.
