Complete Failure on Promises Made

On 8/18 I contracted for a vehicle be delivered on 8/27 from Michigan to Illinois. I knew the timeframe was short and other carriers said they couldn't make it happen. Stanley said give me Sunday 8/28 as a second day and he could make it happen. I even let Stanley know that I was looking for a reliable company to ship for my company. He stated:"I want to earn your business".

Transport Services was chosen based on comments by Stanley that even though the schedule was tight they would have no problems making the delivery on 8/27 or 8/28. This delivery timeframe was critical because the purchaser was leaving town on 8/29.

Stanley described the process in a very detailed manner. The truck would call 24 hours in advance prior to pick-up. It was currently scheduled to arrive Tuesday 8/23 or Wednesday 8/24. We would be in constant contact throughout the process to make sure everything would go as planned. There is GPS tracking on the trucks so we could follow the vehicle once it left our facility. His final comment: Transport Services was better than the rest because they utilized their own equipment. Based on the above comments I selected Transport Services over the others. Transport Services was not the cheapest or the most expensive.

With no word from Transport Services by noon on Wednesday 8/24, I placed a call to dispatch requesting an update. The representative explained that the truck was stuck at an auction and would be there tomorrow. On Thursday 8/25 at noon, the truck had not arrived and I placed a call to dispatch requesting an update. I received the same response, the truck was still stuck at the auction and would be there Friday morning.

Thursday afternoon, I emailed Stanley expressing my concern over their ability to get the car there by Sunday. I never received a response. I called late Thursday afternoon and spoke with Stanley and expressed my concern about the process and he ensured me that he would get to the bottom of the situation and someone would be back with me in an hour. No word.

Friday at noon, I still had heard nothing from Transport Services. I placed a call to dispatch and they said that the truck was still stuck at the auction and they were searching for sister companies to complete the delivery. I told them that I was cancelling since they had not held up their end of the contract. I requested a full refund of $145 and they said I signed a contract with a non-refundable deposit. I acknowledged their response and asked what they had done to deserve the deposit. I received no response. I am currently disputing with the credit card company to get my money back.

I made other arrangements and delivered the vehicle ourselves on 8/27 as planned.

To make matters worse, I received another email on Saturday 8/27 after we had delivered the vehicle notifying me that Transport Services was still looking for their brother and sister companies to make the delivery after I cancelled the run.

I feel this company will basically tell you what you want to hear to get the job. My guess on their claimed 5 star service is that you have to be on one of their main routes. Otherwise, you will experience what I did.

Very disappointed and will never use this company again. Use at your own risk and I would highly recommend against it.
