On November 29, 2008 my 2008 Hummer H2 and 2008 Jeep Liberty were picked up by Clayton Schroeder, owner of Schroeder Transport from Hector, Minnesota who had been hired by Transport Services located at 1700 N. Dixie Hwy • Boca Raton, FL to hall our vehicles from Wisconsin to California.

When speaking with Will at Transport Services, I was assured that my vehicles would be 100% covered by insurance if any damage were to occur during transport.

After the vehicles arrived in California the evening of 12-6-08 and were unloaded and parked in the driveway, I asked Mr. Schroeder how I’d be able to inspect them as it was night and also the fact they were covered with salt. He assured me that they had not been removed from the carrier and if there were any problems that I should call him. He then had me sign a sheet indicating there was no damage, I gave him a $50.00 tip, gave one of his vehicles with a dead battery a jump that he unloaded and off he went.

The first thing the next morning, we wanted to take our cars to a car wash to remove the salt and noticed the Jeep’s windshield was cracked. I immediately called Mr. Schroeder and he offered to pay half the cost of replacement but I told him that it was damaged while in his care and that he should replace it. He then told me that he would call some of his “contacts” in L.A. about replacing the glass but has since not returned any of my calls.

I contacted Transport Services and they told me that perhaps I damaged the windshield myself and because there was no damage noted on the report sheet which the driver asks you to sign upon delivery, they would do nothing and I would have to deal with Schroeder Transport.

I’ve left numerous messages on Mr. Schroeder’s cell phone which he’s ignored. It has now been nearly 3 weeks. I’m very disappointed and upset with both of these companies.
