Roy dealt with the car seller and transport driver to find a suitable pickup location, since the car was not in a transport truck friendly area. The transport met the seller precisely when they said they'd be there. I don't have record of it, but I'm sure I heard it could take 7 days to reach New York. But I was surprised to hear the truck driver called with an ETA of 4 days. And again, the truck arrived at the time he said he would. I listed the car as arriving dirty, and it was. But that's to be expected when it went 2400 miles on open carrier in Winter. The final price was a little higher than Roy's quote, but he contacted me about that first. And he offered to keep looking for a transport that met his quote. I finally called him back and opted to pay the extra. The car was picked up a day later. I calculated flying to get the car and driving back could cost me $750-$800 plus 48 hours of driving. And that doesn't include hotels. So about $1000 was a great price.
