Brokers please QA service providers!!

DO NOT USE PEKER TRUCKING! TruckIt was great during the move process - usually reachable on the phone and handled issues during the first call. The problem was with the provider they booked for the shipment. Does NO ONE vet these providers even a little bit before you hire them to do a shipment?!?! The trucking company I dealt with, PEKER TRUCKING, was an overall disaster! I couldn't be there for the pickup, left the car with my 60+ year old parents, and during the loading the driver drove the car off the skids and the car landed on the trailer on the rockers in front of the rear wheels, causing some minor damage. Long story short, the driver tried to pass it off with, "It's OK, it's OK." even after my parents noted on the bill of lading that the accident had happened. I tried to call Peker's office to find out what happened and no one there speaks English very well, so communicating with them on the phone, or in any manner, is a nightmare. The car showed up and as I inspected the underside of the car, the same driver tried to pass it off again as "Ok, it's OK." I had it inspected and there are dents on both rocker panels and a busted fuel line shield under the car - total damage estimate $665. Peker settled for the estimate amount with a check, but only after they first took the position of doing nothing because I had accepted delivery of the car. If you even suspect damage and need to get it inspected, make a note on the Bill of Lading and make the driver sign and initial it, otherwise I would've been screwed! (Thanks Candice) Hopefully Peker doesn't cancel the check after I deposit it. DO NOT USE PEKER TRUCKING!!

We are truly sorry this incident happened. Peker Transportation has 100% rating on a major review site we use. While some drivers/companies do make mistakes, we do our best to provide the best companies to our customers. Unfortunate mishaps do happen at rare times, and we are always here to assist in anyway possible. Customers always has the rights to reject the carrier when time of dispatch. We are glad the carrier Peker Transportation gave you a check to pay for damage, and customers please remember, when bad situations arise, which does happen in this business, please contact the broker for any help/advisement. As you can see in our feedback, even once we get the carrier assigned, we always follow thru to the end. Thank you so much for the kind feedback!
