This is a provoking statement and I will just set the record straight on this issue. It was an unfortunate event that has never before, or since, happened to us.
1. The vehicle was never crashed. It was damaged on the driver side (door) during normal transport maneuvering due to the vehicles poor mechanical condition. We accepted responsibility right away and never tried to hide it.
2. The restored(?) 1964 corvette's poor mechanical condition was not disclosed to me even though I asked several times if there were any issues that I should know about. Damage to the vehicle and injury to myself was a direct result of the undisclosed mechanical malfunction. The transmission would pop out of park.
3. The claim with the insurance company was filed in a timely manner and an appraiser was available on the day of the delivery, resulting in no additional wait time for Randy.
4. There was continuous communication between Randy and us all the way to the delivery time. Randy has even expressed in writing his thanks for our professionalism and the attention to this matter.
5. There was no foul language involved at any time.
6. There was no police involvement at any time. You can call the Tempe Police Department to verify for yourself at 480.350.8311.
7. We even drove the vehicle an extra 200 miles at no extra charge to deliver the vehicle at Randy's choice of shop in Tempe, AZ.
Everything I am stating here can be proved to anyone by simply requesting copies of the pictures, email communications or witness accounts or by calling me directly at 602-574-5407. Gabe Balas
