In the end, my car got to its destination safely. Shipping my car across country was a new experience, and there are some very important pearls I learned. Overall, this company was okay, I wish there was more transparency and honesty upfront. I was told on initial booking by Anthony from the New York City office that this company does not function like a broker and has their own trucks and drivers. However, they ended up using a third party trucking company and some of the initial agreements and terms were modified based on what the new company demanded that I was told about on the day of pick up, on the spot. Also, customer service was terrible and unprofessional in their communication. They always skirted the issue, and never provided direct answers. I had to be extremely proactive in seeking updates and when I was told they would call me back for a status update, they repeatedly never did. My biggest advice shipping your car across country is to give yourself a lot of time from when you need it to be delivered to its destination. Once my car was picked up by the third party, everything went smoothly, efficiently, and there was honesty in communication. I will probably use the third party that ended up picking up my car in the future.
