So I decided to buy a project from California and have it shipped to Arizona. I made the deal with the person in California and then quickly started shopping for transport companies. I entered into some information on the Internet to what I thought would be a company and it ended up being a giant nightmare I received about 1000 phone calls Not kidding. They still email me and call me today after the truck has already been delivered however I talked to a couple people and then I somehow got a hold of Company that I had used before they said hey Mr. Gibbs, you’ve used our company before I said really they said yeah you shipped your F550 bucket truck to Tennessee I quickly Said all right well, let’s do some business and quickly explain to me that how the business has changed over the past few years. It seems that with today’s technology most people go directly to the Internet and start looking and what they did is that alerted every single load board in the country to start calling me. I thought I was having a cyber attack . I got prices from $150 3000 I called Jerry back and told him I just wanted to take some time to explore some of these avenues and me being 56 I like to shop a little bit so Jerry understood and I told him I would call him back later Had several deals nailed down that I thought we’re gonna be good deals. They were 500 200 type of deals to get the truck transported from a non-running truck from California to Arizona. Well as things started to move on people started to begin to ask me for money upfront this and that and Gerry had explained to me that nobody should ever ask you for money upfront so I was larry well after a day and a half and time was closing in on me to finish the deal in California. I needed to have this car picked up so I had I was really wanting to save money in the $400 deal seemed really really good so I contacted another transport company to check out the company that was going to do it for $400 and they seemed credible However they wanted some money upfront and I just wasn’t comfortable so I decided to go back my wife decided to make me go back use the company I use before and I called Jerry and he lowered the price a little bit as much as he could and I made it a fair deal and we got the truck out here. I did not specify to use an enclosed trailer as stuff was not gonna be mounted into the truck. It was some of it would be just in the bed , but somehow my truck ended up on a enclosed trailer and arrived at my house in time on time and payment was easy and I just can’t recommend enough for everybody to not go with the lowest bed because the lowest bed is not the right bed all the time sometimes it’s just a hook and what they’ll do is scam you I didn’t realize it but there’s a lot of that going on nowadays 10 years ago, not so much but nowadays I had people that barely speaking English and I speak Spanish and I just I just had all of this stuff was overwhelming so Jerry calmed me down and we went ahead with the deal like I said, it showed up in an enclosed trailer They helped me get it out get it into my driveway and it was just just a great time working with them it’s my second or third time that I’ve used them and I didn’t even realize that those are the people I’ve used twice already so I definitely have Jerry’s name locked into my phone as I’m getting older and buying more projects for myself I will definitely be using 123 transport and look forward to working with them in the future .
