My car was to be moved from MD to CA, through the Ultra Power Trans company. This company was recommended by the dispatcher All-American Transport. Upon receiving my car in California, I noticed several items missing from the trunk and the driver side door. Most egregious is that CDs from my CD player, only accessible when the car is turned on by a key, were missing as well. That means someone maliciously went into my car to take out my CDs. Starting on November 18th, I contacted Ultra Power 3 business days in a row, with little assistance. The first time I called, they said an investigation would be done by the 21st. They never called me on that day and when I called them on that day, the guy said his supervisor was on a couple hour lunch break. When I called back the next day, they said now they'll start an investigation and it will be done by November 25th. I gave them until November 29th and they still didn't have anything for me, now no longer promising results by a certain date. I have contacted the drivers themselves, who plead ignorance and claim the car was always locked. Each time I called, I feel like I have been giving the runaround, with promises that they will start an investigation that never seems to occur. I've had to tell them 3 times what is missing, send them an email and repeat my situation each time I have called, further reinforcing the idea they are not listening. I understand that there is a certain risk involved in transporting items in a car that is moving across the country. Someone can jimmy open a door or a trunk. However, when items are missing that can only be accessed by someone holding the keys, then there is something afoul and risk is not an external one, but an internal one.
