For a first time user I guess I set myself up for this but United auto carriers web site showed me a perfect date of pickup for my car and a picture of a nice new covered transporter. (should have asked if that was my truck). When I signed up on line I also had a $20 off registration that never came about. I did get a response by email to fill out the agreement and fax it back which I did but then I never herd back from them. I had to call twice to see if they received my information and confirm my pick up date which was important to me. I was finally confirmed the date was locked in...Communication with them is bad... I was assigned a carrier but then my deposite was changed from $175 to $200 (As i understand it- if you cancell after getting assigned a truck- you only get back half of the deposite). Anyway the truck was late one day, which was a problem for me, and it was also an open carrier that was not in good shape. When delivered- the driver couldn't get the car off the ramp. Finally after about 45 minutes in the rain it came off. Lucky it didn't fall off the rusted out upper ramp. Again I set myself up buy getting the wet car in my garage and doing a quick walk around and not wipeing it down for inspection. I signed off that it was OK but the next day did find some light damage. My fault on that.. Do yourself a favor- -Check your car out carefully and don't rush it....Later I wrote to the two people I was in contact with about the $20 discount I never received and neither one of them responded. Again great communication. I will say the trucking company only take 3 days to get the car here so the timing was ok on that...
