Where to go when you're feeling overwhelmed by transport companies

Based on past experience, I was overwhelmed and skeptical when it came to dealing with shipping companies. Everyone has a shipping horror story! I was frustrated with the constant bombardment of calls and e-mails from tens of companies claiming that they were the best, and everyone else is a rip-off. I considered waiting a month for a friend to drive my car cross-country simply to avoid having to deal with these guys, but I needed transportation to get to work. Shipping companies are a consumer nightmare since we don't typically require their services often enough to have experience with different companies, nor do many of us have friends that routinely use these services. So how does one know who to use?

As an over-researcher, I requested quotes and read hundreds to reviews. This only made the process more overwhelming. Ultimately, I went with my gut: After listening to every voice message, I chose Vehicle Shipping Group because of Mark's soft and supportive way of communicating over the phone. It felt like a family member was leaving me a voice message asking how they could help, and promising to be there every step of the way. Mark was kind, supportive and reliable, and his prices were better than all other quotes I'd received. He was true to his work and was there every step of the way. I even called him (several times) on a Sunday to find out the status of my car's arrival.

Mark truly makes the process effortless, and knowing what I do now, going with Vehicle Shipping Group is an absolute no-brainer. Given the extent of my frustration, I will do everything I can to prevent friends and family from going through what I went through. Should I need these services again, I will not go with anyone else.
