I booked w/Daniel of Veteran Transport upon a trusted friend's recommendation. Daniel quoted me a below market price but then was unable to secure a driver for my shipment. This is s brokered business; the drivers do not belong to the companies that set up the auto shipping. The broker makes the deposit as his "finder's" fee and the driver, who works for a separate, shipping logistics company, gets paid cash upon delivery. Daniel require a deposit upfront, paid via Venmo or Zelle (i.e. cash), before a driver was ever secured and then strung me along day after day after day. I could not wait any longer so I shipped with another, REPUTABLE shipping company that only took my deposit on a CC after the driver was secured. A hard $250 lesson learned.
