FALSE PROMISES AND NO DELIVERY

Original contract for $880 was signed on May 10, 2010. No progress was made for two weeks. Then a driver was located but for a higher price. A new contract was signed on 5/24/10 - new amount $1040. On 5/28 the driver called to say his truck was out of service, and he could therefore not do the pickup. I then contacted Viking and requested that my order be canceled and my deposit refunded. The email chain below speaks for itself. Would you like to do business with this guy? Emails below start with most recent.

We can assign another truck. If not, than take further action. You will loose any disputes with your credit card company since we have signed contracts from you.

You assigned a truck with a driver that is unable to fulfill your contract with him. He does not have a truck at his disposal at this time. He has in all effect canceled the pickup. Based on that fact, I am entitled to a full refund. Your contract is not fulfilled if you assign a driver who is unable to pick up the car. I expect a full refund immediately or will take further action.

If you want we will cancel the truck. But our contract is clear and legal which you agreeed to. Viking is not responsible for unforseen delays on pick up or delivery. And your deposit is only refundable as long as we have not assign a truck to pick up your vehicle, which we have. So you do not qulify for a refund under our Terms and Conditions.

Sinead you contracted with Viking to transport your vehicle. You would call the office everyday up to 5 times per day to find out what was going on with the pick up. Unfortunately it took longer to find you a driver than what we wanted. You agreed to pay more it was your suggestion not ours. Our dispatchers spent countless hours to find you a driver. When our dispatchers finally found you a driver and everything was confirmed for your pick up, the truck had mechanical problems which was told to you and it was explained that the driver would be on the road again within 48hrs and it would be picking up your vehicle we also offered to find you another driver write away. But threw this whole process you have been very difficult to work with and you told us that you did not want us to assigned another truck to just refund my deposit. Is it fair that after all the hours spent in finding you a driver and no fault to Viking the truck breaks down and we offer you another truck you would request your deposit after Viking did their job and would have continue to work for you, you would insist on a refund, and then post this negative review after we worked so hard for you. Viking does not feel that you should get your refund back. But our managers at Viking has decided to refund your deposit in full after all the work we did for you. We greatly regret that the truck broke down and we regret that you did not have the decency in allowing us to find you another driver, That Viking was prepared to do.
