When my beater 1966 Triumph TR4 was sold in an eBay auction, and had to be moved from the Midwest to the east coast, I had no idea who to look to, so I just started filling out all kinds of quote requests online. Of the twenty-eight companies that responded, Wareham Auto Transport stood out for several reasons. First of all,Tony, the representative who called me, was so very personable and patient; I felt as though I were striking a deal with my friend and neighbor.I felt really comfortable with him, even though I had never done anything like this before. Both of my sons also spoke with Tony and declared that I should go with him because he "seemed really legit" (believe me, some of the characters we met were not). Secondly, no other company could beat the price. Some were competitive, but as soon as they heard that I wasn't sure whether the car would be able to make it up a ramp and onto the transport truck, the price went up $100-$150! Tony wasn't put off by that variable and promised that he would work with us, and that, even if the car had to be helped onto a truck, he could do it for about the same cost. I wanted the buyer, a seasoned eBayer who collects and restores classic vehicles, to make the final decision, and when he talked to Tony he said that he was going to give him all his future business! Tony and the buyer completed the arrangements, and the car was picked up from my house the following afternoon. I did not have to pay a deposit on this end (my buyer was responsible), and I really appreciated not having to square up after the transport was complete. There was a slight glitch in that the transport driver was stalled by some problem, so my buyer had to wait a day and a half longer than we expected, but in the end it really didn't matter. The little Triumph was brought to its new home, all safe and sound, and everyone is very happy. All in all, this was a very pleasant transaction, and when I sell my next vehicle, I will call my new friend, Tony, right away.
