Oct 31 2016 Got a quote for 900$ to moving my Honda Accord from Bellevue WA to Iselin NJ. Discussion were going on but not satisfied with their responses. They asked me to fill out a form and asked for 200$ fuel deposit. I didn’t fill/sign the form neither deposited a fuel charge with them. They were out of the game. After that no correspondences.
Between Nov 1 - 30 I was working with another broker whose customer experience is good & filled the contract. Paid a 200$ deposit. They sent the driver details. They are very decent & they understand this is my first moving experience & accepted my mistake. They settled down after this chaos.
Nov 30 - Dec 6 2016 These people sent their driver without notice & picked my car at the same time when my paid driver was supposed to pick it. We assumed he’s the local driver from my paid company, so we released the car. My wife who dispatched the car didn’t notice the different name in pickup slip. (I agree it’s our mistake). In next 30 mins, the actual driver from paid company arrived & called these people to return my car.
These people started advising me about getting refund from my broker/company through bank dispute. I said it’s a mistake, I dint authorize you to pick my car, return it. They were not ready to release my car. Am calling broker/company continuously – no use. They don’t care about me or my situation. I called the local driver who picked my car & I explained him. He agreed but cannot do anything. He sent the contract between broker & company.
SAS said they can talk to driver & reduce 50$. So pay 850$ which is the same deal I got from my broker/company. I said I lost 200$ already. So am ready to pay the 650$ to the driver. Then if dispute goes well – I will give that 200$ to SAS. The supervisor I spoke – he’s a crooked guy. He’s talking about my wife & emotionally attacking me. I have asked him if that is call being recorded, then he said he has to pick his kid & dropped the call. After that no one is responding to my call.
The West coast company is next fraud company who Secure auto shipping introduced. They will do anything for money.
I called these people & said – I have the contract between SAS & West coast auto transport. It says 750$ for carrier company & 150$ for broker. I won’t pay 150$ broker fee & after 50$ discount – I will pay only 700$ to the driver on delivery.
Here only they started playing. They went under the table. The contract got rewritten. West coast started asking 850$ CoD. Otherwise they wont deliver the car. Will keep in storage & I have to pay extra $$ everyday.
I called Police & they reached the spot. But they said it’s Civil issue. They cannot interfere & do anything.
I paid 850$ & released the car now. SAS got their $$ portion from Carrier nicely.
Nightmare - Awful customer experience. Unethical broker & company guys. Decided not to use any moving services & planning to drive on my own hereafter.
