EShip was good, but the driver was questionable...

Craig was my contact broker for moving my vehicle from WA state to NJ in March 2013. After we had assigned the transporting company, Auto Star, I had trouble getting information out of Auto Star. Prior to the assigned pickup date, I kept leaving phone messages with Auto Star, no one would call me back. Finally for Monday (no designated time) pickup, I had a call from driver Vitally. He cannot give me a window on pickup time. The vehicle is supposed to get to NJ for 7-9 days. I called the initial driver, Vitally, found out he was not the driver to go cross country. The office wanted me to call up driver Alex directly. I did, and the estimation was terrible. Maybe this business is hard to predict, I don't know, but you guys are the professionals, right??

Alex called me on Day 10, 2pm, saying he would deliver that day, but he had a few more cars to drop off before coming to me. I questioned him if he would make it by the end of the office day. He thought he would. He promised to give me phone call on the other stops to give me estimate. NOT!! Never happened. I waited in the office building with the security guard, until the building closed at 10pm!! In between I left messages with Alex the driver. By 9pm, I left message with both the office (WA state), as well as Alex's, saying I could not wait any longer. If I didn't hear from anyone in the next 30 min, I will be taking a cab home, and charging to them. Alex called me at 10:30pm wanting to unload at mid-night!!!! He claimed to have hydrolic problem. He could have called and let me know.

We end up having my car delivered at 6am the next morning. Alex kept saying there was not much he could do. I felt the driver could have done better in communicating his pick up and drop off times and alleviate the unnecessary stress in all parties.

Craig in EShip was good. He was fast to get me the price estimate, as well as getting all paperwork completed. He even had followup phone call. Not sure how I feel about Auto Star, but EShip is good. Would recommend Craig again!!
