The ESHIP broker Craige Gigante was outstanding. He answered my phone calls even on Sunday. If you never shipped an auto before you need that the majority of companies trying to win your business are brokers. The broker does not own or drive the truck. They place a request on the national dispatch board. Truckers then compete for your business and usually fit your vehicle on a transporter along with many other vehicles that are headed your way. The contract with the broker and the trucking company allows them a two day window to pick up the vehicle. If you need to have the vehicle picked up on a specific day, there is no guarentee that this will occur. The vehicle was picked up two days later than the agreed upon date, but it was delivered early. Craig addressed all of my concerns.
