In a quick search for a car to be moved. I made the huge mistake to call Alpine Transports. Since I knew that I would be out of town when the car was to be delivered, I wanted to have it sent to my friend shop. They are next to the main Interstate hwy and easy to find. I took my friend 1000 dollars and told them they would probably have to pay the driver the balance of whatever was due after my deposit. That is how all the rest of the 10 cars off ebay have worked. The next day I called Alpine and told them my deal. I wanted an email when the car was scheduled to be picked up and I had made arrangements to have the car left in San Antonio. ( actually, just about 10 miles west of San Antonio Texas ) I accepted their price and made a debit card payment for the full amount. I also asked to be sent an email receipt for the payment. I was told it would be no sooner than 1 week before the car could be picked up in Tenn. Never got a receipt, never got a phone call or email for scheduled pick up. This part next is the unbelievable part you just can't make up. About 5 days later when I called to tell my friend that I had paid the bill already, they told me the car was at their shop. The driver showed up at night, could not start the car. After Greg jump started the car for the driver, then he got the exhaust hung up on his truck and bent the header. Again, my friend had to climb on the truck and jack up and put wood under the tires. This was at night and working with flashlights, so the driver was mad and pissed off. He asked for another 725 dollars and again got mad because Greg asked for a receipt. The driver took the bill of laden and put the amount 725 paid across it. I figured, No big deal, Alpine would have to refund this amount. NO WAY. Cindy Beecher, The P.O.S. supposed owner told me That I was lying because drivers don't handle any money and Greg and his whole family was lying. After weeks of phone calls and written statements from Greg proved her driver took the money, Cindy said she would fix the problem. But, of coarse after she said she fired the driver, she would not refund any money. THANKS CINDY BEECHER. I think you probably have family to write in any good reviews for the rat trap of a shipping transport because you sure can't run one. People, trust her at your own risk!!! Cindy, I will call BBB and talk to a lawyer.
