I recently had my car shipped from Yuma, Az to Fort Dix, NJ. I went through Amerifreight due to the reviews on this website. I was a bit naive to how this industry works. I thought Amerifreight would be the ones actually shipping my car. Well i found out they didn't. That wasn't too big of a deal because the agent i used through Amerifreight (Bob Turner) was quite friendly and knowledgeable.

Then I was contacted from the owner/operator of Am-Ko Shipping. I answered the phone and had to have him repeat over and over again what he was saying because his English was so bad. He picked up my car on time (well on time for him). Hauled my car across the country without so much as a call so i had to repeatedly call him. Set everything up for the drop off time, in which he tried to change 3 or 4 times due to other possible pickups.

On the day he was supposed to drop my car off I called him and he said he had already been in New Jersey to drop my car off two days prior. Then he told me that he had to back out west to get more cars and my drop off wouldn't be for four three more days. I expressed to him my discontent and contacted Amerifreight. They said they would call him and talk to him. When they called the driver he said he tried to call me and i didn't answer, then back tracked and said he didn't have my number.(He called me two weeks prior to set the pickup date.) He decided to lie to me and then to Amerifreight.

Also tried to say he didn't have clearance to get on a military installation and couldn't drop my car off on base. I contacted the Military Police so they would let him on because i paid for door to door service which he insisted he wouldn't do. After about an hour of getting his truck combed through by the MP's they let him pass.

I got him on base and in front of my house to drop my car off. While in front of my house he was argumentative about dates and the drop off point. I confronted him many times about this and he was still adamant he was telling the truth.

I would never use this company ever again and if i had too I would Fred Flintstone my car across America than give this guy a dime.
